Dahlia was only two weeks old for her first Halloween in 2007, but this year she celebrated in style, dressing up as a ladybug and heading to events all over town.
At a city-sponsored "trick or treat" party in Zilker Park:

Candy is okay, but the State Farm booth gave out something even better: maracas! Dahlia loved her new toy.
Scary ghosts!

On Halloween night, Dahlia went to a party at her neighbor's house. She ate some "witches brew stew" and pizza (always a favorite!) and watched the older kids play games.

Finally, to cap off a week of Halloween-related activity, Dahlia went to a festival at the Mexic-arte Museum to celebrate Dia de los Muertos. The art and songs were interesting, but Dahlia was especially happy about her free balloon from Univision. It made the whole trip worthwhile.
Happy Halloween, everyone. Just wait until next year when Dahlia actually goes trick or treating and experiences the joy of candy!
