Happy Second Birthday, Dahlia!

Dahlia turned two on October 14. Coincidentally, it was her turn to bring a snack (graham crackers) to day care. Her mom got creative and made a special treat for the class, putting a yogurt icing and fruit on the graham crackers. All the kids sang "Happy Birthday" to Dahlia and enjoyed their snack. It was a huge hit!

After some quality playground time at the end of the day, Dahlia's parents took her out for her favorite food -- pizza! It took a while for the pizza to show up, but it was worth the wait:

After a great dinner, Dahlia and her parents walked down the street for a special treat -- some Amy's ice cream. As you can tell, Dahlia enjoyed her birthday dessert immensely:

The birthday dinner extravaganza ran so late that Dahlia didn't have time to open her presents until the next day. She couldn't believe all the great things she received. The first item she opened was better than a Rolex -- it was an Elmo watch! Dahlia's next present also had an Elmo theme. It was her very own Elmo cell phone. Dahlia now uses it for all her important calls.

Dahlia was very proud of her Elmo watch. She put it on and then was very happy to open her very own art book.

And the gifts just kept on coming! Dahlia got a new pony (stick) that she rode around the house and then woke up the next morning to find a brand new easel. As you can tell, she's in one of her abstract art periods.

Dahlia wants to send a big "thank you so much" to all of her generous gift givers. She's had a great time playing with all of her new toys.

Happy birthday, Dahlia!
