Hanukkah

Once the snow started, it never really stopped. Snowstorms became a weekly occurrence, and one of the biggest snowstorms ever to hit the Twin Cities caused the Metrodome to collapse. The snow piles around her house were so large that Dahlia couldn't even play in them. They were all taller than she was!

December seemed to fly by. Dahlia and Jonah made the most of it, coming up with some great indoor activities like celebrating Hanukkah. Dahlia enjoyed lighting the candles and singing the dreidel song. She even learned a new verse (her favorite) that was especially appropriate this winter:

"Oh dreidel, dreidel, dreidel,
I made it out of snow,
I put it in the oven,
Where did my dreidel go?"

Jonah celebrated his first Hanukkah. His favorite part of the holiday? All of the crinkly wrapping paper that comes with the presents!

Dahlia loved her Hanukkah presents, including a Hanukkah toy set that came with both a menorah to light...

...latkes to make and eat!

While Dahlia enjoyed playing with her new toys, Jonah followed in the footsteps of babies everywhere by thanking his relatives for sending great cardboard boxes!
