Summer Recap Part One: Early July

Dahlia and Jonah have been really busy over the past few months, so busy that it's been months since they've had a chance to update this blog. Here (in five parts) is a summer recap with some of their favorite photographs.

In early July, Dahlia and Jonah spent a lot of time hanging out together on Jonah's playmat. Look at how skinny Jonah's legs were back then:

On July 4, Dahlia went to her third Tarrytown Fourth of July Parade. This time she was ready for parade participants to throw candy her way and managed to snag more than her fair share of lollipops:

Jonah was very excited to go to his first Fourth of July Parade. He dressed up in his finest red, white, and blue. Once he got there, however, the excitement was a bit too much for him:

Later, Dahlia and Jonah took their parents to the San Antonio Zoo, where they saw all sorts of interesting animals:

Some of the animals were even eating watermelon to celebrate the Fourth:

Dahlia and Jonah both had a great time at the zoo and were all smiles! Dahlia enjoyed sprinting from place to place in the park and spent an incredibly long time staring at snakes in the reptile house. Jonah was just happy to be along for the ride:

When they weren't road tripping around Central Texas, Dahlia and Jonah did their best to keep cool during the hot Austin summer. Here Jonah shows off his big "Buddha belly" as he's lounging around:

Dahlia takes a break from playing in her room to pose for a picture, then tries to hide from the paparazzi behind her mother's sunglasses:

After realizing that sunglasses weren't enough to throw off the paparazzi, Dahlia decided to put on something a little more mysterious. Look out, everybody, it's the masked crusader!

Meanwhile Kaori and Andy, the proud parents, celebrated six years of marriage on July 4! Did they have those bags under their eyes six years ago?
