Saba's Visit

One of the best parts of Dahlia's birthday weekend was a special guest appearance by the one and only Saba! Dahlia and Jonah were happy to show Saba their new house...

...and then they took Saba on a tour of the Twin Cities. Actually it was more like a forced march as the group crammed an incredible number of activities into the weekend.

The first stop was downtown Minneapolis, where they visited a farmers market on their way to the Mill City Museum:

One of the highlights of the Mill City Museum is an "elevator tour" that takes you to the top floor of the former factory where the museum is housed. From there you get a beautiful view of the mighty Mississippi River and St. Anthony Falls:

After that, it was time to ride the trolley around the lakes in southwest Minneapolis. Where could the trolley be taking them?

To the "pumpkin patch," of course! It was time to pick out a pumpkin for Halloween. Make sure you get a good one, Dahlia:

After a very thorough search, Dahlia found a pumpkin that met her very high standards. Everyone was happy with her choice:

Dahlia and Mommy show off the lucky pumpkin on their trip back to the trolley station:

Behind the trolley station, Dahlia saw a pile of leaves that she just couldn't resist. She's definitely enjoying fall:

After they got back home, Dahlia and Saba decided it was time for chalk drawings on the driveway:

Once they got inside, it was time for some birthday-related fun. Here Saba helps Dahlia read her cards and open her presents:

Dahlia may be the charter member of the Saba Fan Club, but Jonah is also a big fan. Here he shows Saba some of his favorite toys:
