Jonah Continues to Grow and Learn

Jonah continued to develop new skills in February. One day he realized that all of his buddies were eating table food, and he quickly decided that he wanted some too. Frozen carrots and peas and just about any form of beef were some of his favorite foods. Jonah also proved that he, like his sister, could eat extraordinary amounts of fruit and yogurt. Spaghetti was another favorite. It's delicious, and Jonah looked great in it:

Jonah continued to enjoy bath time. Sometimes he and Dahlia played together in the bath. As a good older sister, Dahlia showed Jonah all sorts of ways to have fun in the bath. Most of them involved splashing and soaking their parents:

Jonah continued to work on his crawling skills. Now he could get just about anywhere he wanted in a hurry:

Jonah also learned how to pull himself up and stand, which was a very useful skill for all sorts of fun activities...

...like rearranging the refrigerator. Jonah's parents learned very quickly that it was not a wise idea to open the refrigerator in Jonah's presence. He had very strong opinions about where everything belonged and liked to move things around whenever his parents put something in the wrong place:

Best of all, Jonah started to figure out how to communicate. He could vigorously shake his head no (but not yes). He also learned his first words: "Up" and "Down." He learned those words from his teachers at school. They took Jonah and his classmates for a walk just about every day and taught them those two words whenever they rode or walked past the elevator. Jonah showed off his new words at home. One of his favorite games was to raise his arms and say "Up!" Everyone else was supposed to do the same thing, as you can see in this video:
