Ojiichan was traveling to Chicago on a business trip and made a special stopover in Minneapolis to see Dahlia and Jonah. What a treat! Dahlia and Jonah took him to dinner at one of their favorite restaurants:

Dahlia and Jonah also took Ojiichan to one of their favorite local parks, where Jonah showed him just how much he loves the baby swings:
When baby swings are involved, Dahlia is often conflicted. Sometimes she decides to swing next to Jonah for old times' sake...
...and sometimes she prefers to push Jonah to see how much he giggles! This time he didn't look all that amused:
When Dahlia and Jonah's mom was a little girl, her father would always return from his business trips to Japan with a big suitcase full of treats. The entire family would gather around the suitcase and have a great time going through all of the trinkets and clothing he brought home. Dahlia got a taste of that tradition after dinner, when Ojiichan showed her a suitcase full of goodies! Unveiling a bag of mystery items:
Someone must have told Ojiichan that Dahlia likes gummies, because he brought her dozens of packets of them. Thank you, Ojiichan!
Ojiichan also brought Dahlia a new frilly dress. Wow, I love it! You should come visit more often!
Ojiichan left Dahlia with a suitcase full of sweets, clothes, books, and other toys. Once he was firmly on Dahlia's good side, the two of them enjoyed reading books together and were the best of friends:
