The long Minnesota winter kept on going, but Dahlia and Jonah didn't let it slow them down at all!
Jonah moved one step closer to walking by mastering the art of the push toy. He received a push toy as a present and quickly figured out how much fun it was. Jonah loved walking from one end of the house to the other, and over time he learned how to steer around all of the obstacles (like couches and tables) that were in his way. Jonah also continued to love his baths, which were often the highlight of his day:
Meanwhile, Dahlia entered a phase where she was obsessed with cooking. Every night her mom would pick her up at school, and every night Dahlia would immediately call home to check in on her dad. "Did you make the dinner yet? I don't want you to make the dinner," Dahlia would say. "I'm going to help you make the dinner. Wait for me!" Once she got home, Dahlia and her dad had to put on their aprons to make dinner for the family. Whether they were making a home-cooked meal or just heating something up in the microwave, they had to look like cooks. Sometimes Dahlia wore both an apron and her chef hat:
Once dinner was over and Dahlia had taken a bath, she'd indulge in another one of her favorite activities -- a nightly singing and dancing session! As with most things, she had her own inimitable style, which you can appreciate in this video:
Dahlia also continued to develop her fashion sense. She discovered a new accessory -- hair clips! Most people would be satisfied with one or two, but sometimes Dahlia insisted on putting an entire set in her hair. Thankfully, she enjoyed the process of putting them in more than she enjoyed actually wearing them. Most of the time she'd take virtually all of them out before leaving for school or going to bed:
Before too long, it was time for Purim. Dahlia and Jonah enjoyed wearing costumes to school the day of the Purim parade. Rather than dressing up as characters from the Purim story, they went with the unconventional princess-cowboy combination:
